Emerald Cut Engagement Rings

If you’re planning the proposal of a lifetime, a beautifully designed emerald cut engagement ring will make all the difference for that someone special. This cut is best suited to those who prefer understated elegance in their jewellery. The emerald cut diamond engagement ring is made for people who want a truly delicate style ring. Its beauty draws from the illusion that gives it a ‘hall of mirrors’ effect, providing great depth and character. The emerald diamond ring is one of the most flattering ring styles as they make the fingers appear more slender and elongated. Emerald cut diamonds are popularly set in a solitaire setting for those who like a minimal, classic style. If you appreciate incredible sparkle and radiance, the emerald cut halo ring is the perfect choice. There is also a three stone setting that you can choose as an alternative. We offer a range of precious metals such as yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and platinum so there are various options to suit the wearer.

The emerald cut diamond features a step-cut which implies the facets of the diamond are parallel to each other on all sides. This cut has four sides with beveled corners. There are 57 facets in an emerald cut consisting of two to four parallel rows. It appears to give the effect of a hall of mirrors.

Most emerald cut diamonds have a length-to-width ratio ranging from 1.30 - 1.50. The ideal range is 1.40, although when it comes to emerald cut diamonds, personal preference should be taken into consideration. For those who would like the ring to make their finger appear more elongated, a thinner rectangular shape is ideal.

Although they are similar in appearance, emerald shaped diamonds and radiant shaped diamonds are comparatively different in how they are cut. Emerald cut diamonds are classified as a step-cut, where the facets are arranged parallel to one another, whereas the radiant diamond is cut more like a round brilliant diamond. Therefore, the radiant cut diamond offers more brilliance and sparkle than the emerald cut.
